I have an interesting question...would it be ok if I didn't redo the lineart on the computer?

I sometimes just use the pencil sketch and color that. I have to save money to buy proper inking pens (I found ones I liked...but ...I also I want to buy Naruto manga...and...arg....D: ) but that might take some time. I also like the feel of the pencil sketch and inking on Photoshop is not always the easiest thing to do (sure, it looks easy, it looks so easy to do the lineart, but for fuck's sake it's not...most people know that ;) And the pen tool is really annoying, btw! I hate it! I do it freehand.).

This is turning out to be more of an rant...X___x'''''

So...should I stick to both inking in photoshop and/or just using the pencil sketch until I buy inking pens...? :[

Hmm...I dunno. Lineart on the compy is a pain in the arse, but most of the time the results are nice. Recently, I'VE been preferring CG'ng things I did on paper, rather than ink them on the computer. I men, hell, sometimes you lose the quality of the art, sometimes it enhances...*Is ranting about herself now*

To answer your question, I think you should do it on the computer! I like your linearts! And if you really wanna save up for something else, then go buy that first! ^_^

This reminds me...I need to do that thing you sent me in late June. I'm soo sorry! I forgot about it! ^^;

I'm working on that pic right now. I feel so bad delaying it. :p *Falls over, and dies*

I love my pens! I write, draw, and do other stuff with my pens. And the occasional mechanical pencil...>_< Like my newest, yet-to-be-released, CG piece will be a pencil sketch, that's CG'd. I'm kinda tired of doing lineart. It's a waste of time for me, and I feel it lowers the quality of my art. That, and I love sketchy.

depends on the money really... what you could do is pencil sketch something, scan it in, then go over the pencil lines. at least thats what i do... when i do pictures using my computer... which i don't that often... and i havn't submitted any computerised pictures recently either... hmm...

Pens are nice....well....I love my machanical pencil the best though. x___x;;
I know, lineart is troublesome. =__= :faint: I don't think it lowers the quailty at all! Actually it's really nice to have a softly colored picture with pencil lines than rather than a sharp cell shaded picture. :shrug:
